Peebo and Dagwood brought joy and laughter to children and adults for nearly two decades with their famous ‘Comedy Magic Show.’ Their performances were filled with fun, loads of laughter, and memorable magic that captivated audiences of all ages.

From kids’ birthday parties to corporate events and public gatherings, Peebo and Dagwood made every occasion unforgettable. They specialized in entertaining children of all ages and even brought their unique brand of comedy to milestone events such as 40th and 50th birthdays, as well as community fetes and shopping center events.

Peebo and Dagwood arrived at their shows in their famous colourful clown car, complete with a jumbo motorized wind-up key that resembled a giant toy car. Their comedy magic show was non-stop fun from beginning to end, and they delighted audiences with balloon twisting and the antics of their pet rabbit, “Stew.”

Behind the makeup of Peebo and Dagwood were identical twin brothers Peter and David Bissell. Both had been living with cystic fibrosis from a young age, a condition that taught them that life is precious and every day is a gift.

In 2005, Peter and David each underwent life-saving double lung transplants. This incredible act of organ donation gave them both a second chance at life, a gift they cherished deeply. With this second chance, they adopted the motto: ‘Live Life, Love Life and Laugh.’ They believed laughter was the best medicine, and through their clowning, they shared their joy and love for life with others.

Peebo and Dagwood’s legacy lives on through the countless smiles they brought to the world. Their unwavering positivity and dedication to spreading happiness left an indelible mark on everyone they met.

Sadly, Peter “Peebo” Bissell passed away on March 4, 2020, followed by his twin brother David “Dagwood” Bissell, who passed away on July 12, 2024. Their family and the community continue to honor their memory and the incredible joy they brought to the world through their laughter, magic, and boundless spirit.
